Terms & Conditions
Last updated:
These terms cover the Tedium Labs website, vocabulary learning app and public transport timetable app. Tedium Labs is a one-person Australian studio operated by [LEGAL OPERATOR NAME]. Contact: hello@tediumlabs.dev.
1. Using the apps
By using an app, you agree to these terms and any applicable app-store terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
[MINIMUM AGE AND PARENT OR GUARDIAN REQUIREMENTS]
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the apps for their intended purpose, subject to these terms. Do not use them unlawfully, interfere with their operation or security, or infringe other people’s rights. Restrictions apply only to the extent allowed by law.
2. What the apps do
The vocabulary app supports vocabulary learning. It does not guarantee a particular learning outcome.
The timetable app helps you look up public transport timetables. Its data comes from [TRANSIT DATA SOURCE]. [TRANSIT DATA LICENCE AND ATTRIBUTION]
Timetables may change, be incomplete or become out of date. Check the transport operator’s current service information when planning an important journey. The app is not an emergency service.
3. Accounts, prices and purchases
[ACCOUNT REQUIREMENTS]
[PRICING, PURCHASES, SUBSCRIPTIONS AND CANCELLATION]
Any charges, renewal terms and cancellation steps must be disclosed before purchase. Where purchases are processed by Apple or Google, their relevant payment and refund processes may also apply. These processes do not limit your Australian Consumer Law rights.
4. Privacy, retention and deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains the information handled by each app, third-party services, children’s privacy, retention and deletion. It also explains how the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles are considered.
For access, correction or deletion requests, email hello@tediumlabs.dev and identify the app. App-specific deletion steps, retention periods and any exceptions are set out in the Privacy Policy.
5. Content and ownership
Tedium Labs and its licensors retain their rights in the apps, branding and content. Using an app does not transfer ownership to you. Third-party content remains subject to its applicable licence.
[VOCABULARY CONTENT SOURCES AND LICENCES]
6. Availability and changes
We may fix, update or change the apps. Availability can be affected by maintenance, device compatibility, app stores or third-party services. We will give notice of material changes where required and honour applicable consumer rights, including for paid features.
You may stop using an app at any time. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use or a serious breach of these terms, subject to any notice, refund or other rights required by law.
7. Australian consumer rights and responsibility
The Australian Consumer Law provides guarantees and remedies that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by these terms. Depending on the circumstances, remedies may include a repair, replacement, refund or compensation.
We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. This statement does not exclude any consumer guarantee or other responsibility that applies by law. Our responsibility for loss or damage will be determined under applicable law.
8. Questions and complaints
Email hello@tediumlabs.dev with the app name, what happened and the outcome you are seeking. Please do not send passwords. You can also use the support pages for the vocabulary app and timetable app.
Nothing here prevents you from contacting a relevant regulator, consumer agency, tribunal or court.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and [AUSTRALIAN STATE OR TERRITORY], subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live. They do not require you to give up access to a forum or remedy available under applicable law.
10. Updates to these terms
We will publish changes here and update the date above. For material changes, we will provide notice and obtain agreement where required. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights you have already acquired.
